Contributing Knowledge
"Students will be able to draw conclusions based on analysis and
interpretation of primary evidence and place that work in
conversation with other source materials."

I included my discussion portion of my Final Research Article (Artifact #1) for the outcome of Contributing Knowledge. In this discussion, I link my primary data ideas and the conclusions I had reached based on my research methods with some of my secondary source findings. In this section, we were expected to synthesize our sources together, and that is what I did. Furthermore, I was able to answer my proposed research question or essentially fill in the gap that we intended our research to fill in the first place. In a sense, I was able to join in my own conversation with the existing scholarly conversations, I perhaps felt the most relief in the portion of the IMRAD research paper because I was successfully connecting my ideas together.
For this outcome, I also chose to include my Research Proposal (artifact #2). More specifically, the portion where I had to give enough context of my initial field of interest. This is because, from an outer perspective, somebody who does not have the knowledge of podcasting that I do wouldn't really know what I was referring to unless I informed them first. For many readers, this might be the first time they have ever read about this type of study or field at all. For example, in the first draft of my research proposal, I briefly go over the details of True Crime Podcasting becoming a revolutionized and increased form of listenership in today's society. Though, as I revised, I realized that I needed to contribute more context or knowledge of the importance of that present True crime evolution and even speak on some aspects prior to its increased public cosumerism so that my proposal would make more sense and my gap would be more understood.

At this point in my journey I felt like I was being held back by my own stipulations of reasoning. Which is why I reference the images to me now being held back by my carry-on bag that has stones inside. For this, I used my knowledge and realized that in oder to get going I would have to let go of the stones that were my re-occuring thoughts. After I did, I felt such a relief in doing so and was very happy I made that choice, which relates to the relief I felt when I was writing my discussion portion of my research article becasue my gap was being filled.
